Head Sensei and Instructor Renshi Jerry Cichon is an 8th degree black belt in Japanese Goju-Ryu, 5th dan in Satori-Ryu Iaido/Kenjutsu and a brown belt in Wado-Ryu/Satori-ryu Aikijutsu. He is the current Midwest Director U.S.A. of the Satori-Ryu-Budo, Vice President of the Mid America Goju Karate Association, and was recently nominated to be a member of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2024.
Sensei Cichon is an 8th dan in Japanese Goju-ryu Certified by the All Japan Budo International Association http://japanbudo.com/
Senior San-Do-Ryu instructors (at the Tonbo Dojo in Mounds) are Sensei James Wood, 6th dan, and Sensei Dustin Wallace, 4th dan.Both have been training with Sensei Cichon since 1993. Both are San-do-ryu Renshi Instructors(master teachers) and hold 3rd degree Black belts in Satori-ryu Iaido and Kenjutsu
Senior instructor at the JMAA Dojo is Sensei Mike Moore 4th dan, Sensei Moore has been a student of Sensei Cichon since 1986 and is also a Black belt in Satori-ryu Iaido and Kenjutsu. Sensei Daniel Gookin is a Senior Instructor in San-do-ryu and Satori-ryu, He started Goju-ryu Karate in 1986 under Sensei Steven Cathey, He received his Black Belt in Budo Taijutsu under Dai Shihan Mark Roemke. A Black Belt in Satori-ryu Iaido and Black belt in San-do-ryu, Sensei Gookin is also a Black belt in sword and is our Ninjutsu instructor.
Ground combat instructor Cameron Cichon trains our Jujitsu and wrestling students, he holds a Blaxk belt in Kamate Waza ground fighting and was a decorated wrestler in his youth. He is also a Brown belt in San-do-ryu. You will learn wrestling and jujitsu combinations from our Instructor.
