Welcome to JMAA Competition Team

At JMAA, we focus on self defense for all students. But we also offer students the opportunity to compete at karate tournaments where they may do open sparring, which is called “point fighting”. They can also perform their empty hand and weapons katas, which are judged. Trophies are awarded to the top 3 winners. JMAA attends local tournaments, out of state tournaments, and at least one nationally rated tournament in our region. It is fun for all ages, from 4 years old, up to 60 and over age divisions.
